A Sting in the Tale

Forty-one dollars in the till, a leaking roof, and four days to save the shop her grandmother spent forty years building. That's what Etta Marsh has to work with when she comes home to Wren's Bay, Maine. Then the most feared woman in town drops dead at the Harvest Festival - poisoned by a cup of Etta's own honey-rose tea, in front of two hundred witnesses. The new county detective is skeptical. The neighbors have already made up their minds. And someone has slipped a note under Etta's door that reads MURDERER, GET OUT. To save her shop, her freedom, and her grandmother's good name, Etta will do what she does best: read a room like a recipe, trust her palate, and listen to the bees. But the secret she's circling was drowned off Sty Point nearly sixty years ago - and whoever kept it buried will burn down everything she loves to keep it that way. A closed-door, small-town cozy mystery with a honey-and-tea shop, a one-eyed cat, a sharp-tongued great-aunt, and a killer hiding in plain sight. First in the Thistle & Honey Mysteries - a fair-play whodunit you can solve alongside Etta.
