The Story of Nusayba

In a time of war, upheaval, and the birth of a new faith, one woman stood where few dared to tread. Nusaybah bint Ka'ab — known as Umm ʿAmmarah — was not only a devoted follower of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), but a fearless warrior, a guiding mentor, and a symbol of unwavering faith. From the sands of Mecca to the battlefields of Uhud, Nusaybah's courage turned the tide of history. She defended the Prophet with sword and shield, tended the wounded, and guided her family and companions with wisdom and resolve. Her words, actions, and steadfast devotion have been preserved in early Islamic sources, inspiring generations with a story of bravery, loyalty, and spiritual integrity.
