The Kingdom of Sweet Temptations 2 - The Warrior...and Candy Canes?

He guards the Kingdom, she questions everything... Holly Kristiansen crossed worlds to bring her best friend home. She did not plan on landing on a handsome warrior, getting stranded in a kingdom of candy-cane castles, or discovering that her rescue mission had exactly zero willing participants. Now she has questions. A notebook full of them. Starting with why Rook Taffen thinks that smile works on her? Rook has faced avalanches, enemy blades, and eighteen years guarding the mountain pass. Surely he can handle one sharp-tongued outlander with a ridiculous hat and absolutely no respect for his charm. Then someone tries to steal her. With danger closing in, Rook takes Holly to the safest place he knows: a snowbound mountain fortress filled with sixty Wardens. Holly promptly starts questioning that, too. But beneath his easy grin is a warrior who turns lethal when she’s threatened. And beneath her stubborn certainty is a woman beginning to want the one thing she cannot promise to keep. Because the bridge home opens in a year...Holly has sworn to cross it. And Rook has promised to let her. Keeping her safe might be the easy part. Letting her go could bring him to his knees.
