Partnering with the King

There’s a course in discipleship right there in the Gospel of Matthew. Partnering with the King presents thirty-one readings in Matthew to be read by individuals daily for a month or by groups weekly from fall to spring – especially appropriate in the liturgical Year of Matthew. For newcomers to faith, the book can serve as an introduction to the Christian life. For more seasoned Christians, it will be a source of renewal and vision. “Partnering with the King is a straightforward and compelling call for us to follow Jesus as his disciple today. It quarries fundamental insights from the gospel message of Matthew believing it to be a trustworthy guide for us in our daily discipleship. Get this book. Read this book. Study this book. You will be glad you did.” -Richard J. Foster, author of Celebration of Discipline and Sanctuary of the Soul “Partnering with the King is a wonderful devotional resource for someone hoping to encounter Jesus for the first time or the umpteenth time. Hiigel combines biblical scholarship, clear teaching, and a pastor's heart. There are many good things to chew on.
