Bioethanol Production via Fermentation of Carob Pods

Bioethanol production is becoming increasingly widespread worldwide as a means of addressing the problems of pollution and the depletion of fossil fuels. To produce bioethanol, one must ferment sugar-rich dry matter such as corn, sugarcane, sugar beets, and carob. In this book, bioethanol production is carried out using carob, involving a study of optimal fermentation conditions (pH, temperature, strain), as well as the quantification and determination of sugars found in carob.
