Cubby the Capybara and the Waiting Game

Lolo can't sit still. Auntie Rio is coming to visit, and every minute feels like forever. Cubby tries to help, but the more they listen for footsteps, the twistier Lolo's tummy feels. Did Auntie Rio forget them? Papa understands that waiting is hard, even for big capybaras. So he teaches them a special "waiting game": noticing what they can hear and see, and doing small jobs to get ready while time slowly slips by. Cubby the Capybara and the Waiting Game is a gentle picture book for children who struggle with waiting-for visitors, special days or treats. With simple, playful ideas woven into the story, it helps families turn long, anxious waits into moments of connection.
