If there is a hell, I'll surely be going there now. Anastasia Phillips has spent her entire life believing she was born to be hated. No matter where she goes, disaster follows. People turn cruel without reason. Bad luck clings to her like a curse. By graduation, she's convinced surviving is the best she can hope for. Then a school trip ends in blood. When creatures that shouldn't exist attack, Ana is saved by Henry—a quiet boy from the accompanying school who knows more about the dark forces at play then he lets on. Drawn to the isolated town of Glenherant in the Hunter Region after reuniting with her estranged brother, Ana finds herself pulled into a hidden world where ancient secrets lie buried beneath the forests, old loyalties are beginning to fracture, and the truth about her family is far more dangerous than she ever imagined. But every answer comes with a price. As the darkness surrounding her grows stronger, Ana must decide who she can trust—including the boy who keeps saving her while hiding secrets that could destroy them both. Because Glenherant isn't the refuge she was promised. It's where her story truly begins.
